Following a three-vehicle collision that injured one person, a significant route was closed.

At around 8.20 a.m., a police officer discovered the incident in Bredfield, close to Woodbridge, on the southbound A12.

After being closed for around two hours, the carriageway reopened at 10:22 a.m.

A police spokeswoman stated that one victim had serious injuries that were not life-threatening.

The crash was between a van and two cars.

It is unclear if anyone else was injured in the collision.

Public asked to avoid Needham Lake area as searches continue for missing person in Needham Market

Searches are now being conducted by emergency agencies in Needham Market in relation to a missing person.

Yesterday afternoon, police first arrived at Needham Lake, which is located off Coddenham Road, and started searching.

Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR) and Suffolk Fire and Rescue are assisting police teams with their ongoing searches of the lake and its environs.

The public is asked to avoid the area of the lake whilst this is ongoing.
