Two women killed in Northumberland crash
A traffic accident in Northumberland has claimed the lives of two ladies.
Shortly after nine in the morning on Thursday, September, officers were called to the A1068 Sheepwash Road, close to the intersection with Bothal Road, near Ashington.
A collision between a BMW X6 and a Ford Fiesta was reported.
Both the driver and a passenger in the Ford Fiesta had suffered potentially fatal injuries when emergency personnel arrived on the scene.
The two women, who were 19 and 46 years old, were tragically declared dead at the spot despite attempts to save them.
Specially trained cops have been notified and are providing support to their next of kin.
The BMW’s driver stayed on the site to assist law enforcement with their investigations.
