Song Jae-lim, a South Korean actor and former model who gained popularity in K-dramas, was discovered dead in Seoul on Tuesday. His age was 39.
According to Seoul Seongdong police, Song’s body was discovered in his apartment by a friend who had intended to join him for lunch that day. Although a message was found in the flat, a police official informed CNN that there was no sign of foul play at the scene.
“There have been no indications of criminal activity thus far in our preliminary investigation,” police told CNN. “We will move the deceased to his family’s custody since the family did not want an autopsy.” Police also stated that they will follow established processes to look into the cause of death.
Song, who was born in 1985, had his entertainment debut in the 2009 movie “Actresses.”
He became well-known for playing a royal guard in the historical drama “Moon Embracing the Sun” in 2012. He also became even more well-known after appearing on the reality show “We Got Married.” In October, he played his last role in the musical “La Rose De Versailles.”
