Teenager Welch – who can play in midfield or at full-back – made his senior Orient debut in the Vertu Trophy against Arsenal U21 earlier this season.
He could make his Hendon bow when The Dons travel to Chichester City in the Isthmian League Premier Division on Saturday. Hendon are currently 12th in the league table.
Over the course of his six-week loan spell, Welch could feature in up to 10 competitive matches.
