Liverpool are reportedly preparing to activate the £50 million release clause of Bournemouth’s 19-year-old center-back, Dean Huijsen, to bolster their defense.
Standing at 6’5″ (approximately 196 cm), Huijsen has garnered attention for his adaptable and technically proficient defensive skills, drawing comparisons to Virgil van Dijk.
Huijsen’s impressive performances have also attracted interest from clubs like Real Madrid. However, his former coach, Juanito, has advised against a move to Real Madrid, citing potential limited playing opportunities behind established defenders.
In addition to Huijsen, Liverpool are also monitoring Bournemouth’s left-back Milos Kerkez, valued at £40 million, as a potential long-term successor to Andy Robertson.
These potential signings align with Liverpool’s strategy to reinforce their defensive lineup, especially considering the uncertainty surrounding Virgil van Dijk’s future at the club.
