After the pleasant spring conditions at the Japanese Grand Prix last time out, the Formula 1 circus is coming to Sakhir this week ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 2025 F1 season. All drivers, team members, and media are in for a shock when they land in Sakhir, though, as temperatures remained relatively cool, hovering around 17 degrees Celsius throughout the weekend. However, temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius are predicted for Sakhir this week, with mid-30s expected by the time the weekend’s action rolls around.

With temperatures predicted to reach 40 degrees for much of the afternoon, Thursday’s media day at the track is expected to be quite uncomfortable for everyone involved. Team members preparing their garages and event organisers preparing the circuit for competition will also probably be much impacted by the heat.

Although it will be a little cooler by the time the action begins on Friday, the Bahrain race is still scheduled for cooler conditions. Of course, because Bahrain is an evening event, qualifying and the race will take place in more tolerable conditions. On Sunday, temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius are predicted for lights out at 6 p.m. local time, and they will continue to drop under the clear night skies as the race goes on. But the sharp drop in temperature from Sunday afternoon also means that there will be a lot of humidity, with about 55% predicted for both Saturday qualifying and Sunday’s 57-lap grand prix.
