A high-end Ferrari that was previously engaged in an odd collision has been listed for sale with an unusual price tag.

If interested parties wish to acquire one of the 213 F40s produced by the Italian motorsport legends, they will need to spend between $2.5 and $2.9 million USD. The vehicle is currently for sale online.

The car was finished in October 1990, but before it was handed to its first owner, a former Ferrari salesman injured the nose and passenger-side rear corner in a road-testing accident.

After undergoing a thorough restoration, the vehicle has been cherished by numerous racing aficionados. However, it is currently back on the market, and bidding is scheduled to begin in April.

Unquestionably one of the most iconic cars ever produced by Ferrari, the F40 was the pinnacle of performance cars when it was first introduced nearly 40 years ago and is still an incredibly exciting vehicle to see in every way today, according to a description given by classic car auctioneer RM Sothesby’s.

Ferrari wants to take the top spot in Formula One again.

Even though Ferrari is still a well-known brand in Formula 1, it hasn’t won a title in nearly 20 years.

The Scuderia was once home to some of the finest drivers in history, such as multiple world winners Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher.

In an attempt to propel the team back to the top of Formula One, they have recruited Lewis Hamilton to a squad that already features Charles Leclerc this year.

However, the team has already fallen well behind McLaren in the manufacturers’ rankings, and neither driver has been on the podium in the first three Grands Prix of 2025.

The squad is trying to recover with a solid showing in Bahrain this weekend after yet another disappointing weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix last time out.
