The interior minister of Turkey stated that an aerospace facility in the country’s capital, Ankara, was the scene of a terrorist attack. Many are thought to be killed or injured.

Turkey was shaken by an explosion, and it has been reported that a major aerospace facility was the site of a suicide bombing.

While the authorities acknowledged that people had been killed in the incident, social media reports said that shooting could also be heard and was still going on at the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.

“The Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAÅž) Ankara Kahramankazan facilities have been the target of a terrorist attack,” stated Ali Yerlikaya, the country’s interior minister. Unfortunately, after the attack, there are martyrs and injured people.

“I pray for God to have mercy on our martyrs and for our injured to recover quickly. Developments will be communicated to the public. Kindly study the statements that will be issued by official sources.

After the explosion, workers were redirected to shelters and security personnel were sent to the scene.

The specifics of what transpired, including the number of casualties, are still being worked out. Although it hasn’t been verified, local media said that up to ten people had been slain and hostages had been taken.

A sequence of bangs can be heard in video that has been shared on social media, seemingly taken by a bystander.

Then, while horrified pedestrians stayed behind parked cars far from the plant, the footage showed an explosion bursting and setting off car alarms. After the explosion, a man who looks to be carrying a gun dashes across the parking lot.

Social media users have uploaded a picture of a man brandishing an assault gun. It is alleged to be one of the gunman, though this has not been verified. Another picture that seems to depict two shooters has surfaced.

While others entered the facility, which is home to one of Turkey’s most significant defense and aerospace businesses, at least one attacker exploded a device, according to accounts from local media.

During a shift change, a group of attackers allegedly pulled up at the entrance in a cab.

A man with a rucksack was also seen on camera entering the complex. Before gunshots broke out, it is thought that one of the terrorists detonated a device.

Along with other military and commercial aerospace programs, the complex is home to TUSAS, a prominent defense corporation that produced Turkey’s first national combat aircraft, the KAAN.

As authorities worked to secure the area, security personnel, paramedics, and firefighters were swiftly sent to the scene.

A local mayor told Turkish media that at least three people had been murdered and five others were injured in the attack.

The precise number of casualties is still unknown, though, and any information regarding the assailants’ identities has not yet been made public.

Although there have been past attacks in the nation by Kurdish militants, Islamic State, and Marxist extremists, no group has yet to take credit.

The full scope of the incident is still being investigated by the Turkish government, and Interior Minister Yerlikaya has promised to keep the public informed as more details become available.

Recep Erdogan, the president of Turkey, denounced the attack and declared: “We will not submit to terrorism.” The perpetrators of this horrible deed will be apprehended quickly.

People are being advised by the local authorities to stay away from the area.
