After defeating Ross County on Saturday, Celtic achieved a new record that perhaps few supporters were aware of.

Brendan Rodgers led the Hoops to their 12th victory of the season, defeating Don Cowie’s team 5-0 at Celtic Park.

Adam Idah’s goal, Celtic’s fifth of the match, found the back of the Ross County net, marking the Bhoys’ 40th goal of the Scottish Premiership season. The Parkhead team continued to be unrelenting in their championship defense.

And in doing so, Celtic have broken a record that may not have been known to supporters, surpassing everything the team has ever done in its history.

Under Brendan Rodgers, Celtic scored the most goals in the team’s history.
This was posted on their X account by Scotland’s Coefficient, a great social media account that provides information on the country’s clubs’ performance in Europe along with other fascinating statistics.

“Celtic is on the longest run in the club’s history of scoring two or more goals in consecutive league matches,” the account wrote.

Since the 2-0 setback at Tynecastle in March, they have now scored two goals or more in 22 consecutive league games.

“In 21 games and 40 minutes, they have scored 67 goals.”

Since the Irishman rejoined Celtic last summer, Celtic has scored five goals or more nine times under Brendan Rodgers, including the five goals against Ross County.

Celtic’s five biggest victories during Brendan Rodgers’ second stint at Parkhead Since Rodgers returned to Parkhead for a second stint last summer, Celtic have been unstoppable.

In addition to winning the league and Scottish Cup twice this season, Celtic thrashed a number of its rivals in the previous campaign.
