‘Our movement to make America great again stands stronger, prouder,’ Trump says, backed by billionaire Elon Musk

Former US President Donald Trump made a second visit to the location of his July assassination attempt, in which he suffered a right ear injury while attending a rally.

Trump addressed supporters in Butler County over three months after the attempt on his life. “Tonight, I return to Butler in the aftermath of tragedy and heartache to deliver a simple message to the people of Pennsylvania and to the people of America,” he said.

“Our movement to make America great again stands stronger, prouder, more united, more determined and nearer to victory than ever before,” he stated. “We’re going to make America great again, going to win the election and win the election.”

Hours before Trump’s arrival, supporters flocked to the showgrounds; Pennsylvania State Police estimated the number of attendees at 21,000, according to the New York Post.

Trump referred to the gunman, who was apprehended and slain by the Secret Service, as a “vicious monster” who sought to silence him.

“For 16 harrowing seconds during the gunfire, time stopped as this vicious monster unleashed pure evil from his sniper’s perch,” Trump stated. “That villain’s objective was foiled by the hand of Providence and the grace of God. did not even approach. He didn’t halt our progress. He didn’t crush our souls. He didn’t weaken our unwavering determination to protect America from the perils of devastation, bigotry, and poverty.”

Trump was hit in the right ear by gunfire from a lone 20-year-old named Thomas Matthew Crooks during a campaign rally. The shooter also claimed a life of Corey Comperatore and left two other people gravely hurt.

Trump referred to Comperatore as a “brave guy,” commended him for his “tremendous courage,” and requested the assembly to observe a minute of quiet in his honour.

To Comperatore’s widow, Helen, and the whole family. He responded, “I want you to know that we will carry his memory and our hearts for as long as we live. I can only begin to imagine the depths of your brief.”

Among those present at Trump’s speech were tech entrepreneur Elon Musk and vice presidential candidate JD Vance, who had backed the candidate soon after the assassination attempt.

Later, Musk stood to encourage supporters of Trump in the election scheduled for November.

Musk asserted that Democrats seek to restrict Americans’ freedom of speech, right to keep and bear guns, and ability to cast an informed ballot.

He claimed that for American democracy to continue, Trump must be elected president. “It’s very important — register to vote,” he stated.

“Grab everyone Make sure that everyone you know and everyone you don’t drags yourself to the polls. This will be the final election if they don’t. That’s what I think will happen. Nothing is more significant, he declared.
