Billy Chadwick is on a one-month loan from York City to Boston United, another Vanarama National League team.
Chadwick, 24, has made 12 appearances for York so far this season, and he scored one goal against Tamworth in the team’s first home game.
Chadwick, who made 20 appearances for the Pilgrims in 2023 and scored an incredible 11 goals in the Vanarama National League North, will be joining Boston for the second time.
Additionally, he will reunite with Neil Cox, the former assistant manager of City who is currently a member of Boston’s interim setup after Ian Culverhouse left last month.
Boston, who are currently in 23rd place in the fifth division, will play Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday in an attempt to win their first home game of the season.
With only 23 minutes of playing time in York’s last five games, Chadwick has recently struggled for playing time.
“I’ve spoken to Billy, we just want a bit more consistency in training and in games, that’s all really,” manager Adam Hinshelwood told the press regarding the offensive midfielder’s condition.
“The team is performing well, and he has been left out of the lineup. Since players in his position are performing well, it’s just part of the game.”
“He simply needs to exercise patience; I enjoy a lot of Billy’s game.
He needs to be a little more consistent in his preparation and his expectations for playing time, but he was excellent for us toward the end of the previous season.
He was starting every week, but his skill level has increased, so he must be accompanied by it.
He most likely didn’t face this level of competition the previous year, but now that he does, he must perform well.
“Billy’s game is so admirable, and I have no doubt that he will play a significant role.”
