According to Fabrizio Romano’s transfer newsletter, Bournemouth is “fighting” to retain its star winger, thus Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United may have to compete to sign him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Semenyo joined Bournemouth from Bristol City just two years ago, and he helped keep them in the Premier League despite all odds under Gary O’Neil. However, he made a big impression last season under Andoni Iraola, scoring eight goals in 33 top-flight games, and he has already scored seven goals this time around as the Cherries are vying for the Champions League.

Romano: Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle A status report on Antoine Semenyo

With ease, the Bournemouth winger has adapted to the Premier League.

Newcastle, who need a right-winger to compete with Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak in their front three, Tottenham, who want to bolster their team under Ange Postecoglou to maintain their goal-scoring ways, and Manchester United, who are in desperate need of goals themselves, have all expressed interest in signing him.

In his transfer newsletter, Romano told GIVEMESPORT that although Bournemouth is expected to sell some of their stars this season after a fantastic campaign on the pitch, Semenyo’s departure is not guaranteed, as the Cherries are expected to “fight” to keep him on their books. Semenyo is only 25 years old, and he has made an impression in the Premier League. Romano claims that the three are interested in his services.

In response to a question concerning the three clubs, Romano stated in his newsletter:

Miguel Almiron was sold by Newcastle during the January transfer window, and as Jacob Murphy is their only reliable right-winger, Semenyo would be the best choice for Eddie Howe.

But when it comes to his offensive ability, Tottenham manager Postecoglou has always preferred strength in numbers, and United manager Ruben Amorim needs every addition he can get because his team has struggled to score goals this season.
